A Bit of Sparkle ✨️

Prepare yourself for a treat for the senses! Last night we saw the Cromer Pier Show which has just opened for its Summer season and runs until 19th September. The only one of it’s kind full season end-of-the-pier variety show is hosted by comic Jack Gleadow who is hilarious, energetic and quick-witted.

You’ll see two lead vocalists, Fern Duffy and James Hammond, plus an ensemble cast of 6 dancers/singers, creating high energy, colourful, fun and sometimes poignant (there was a number celebrating the British Armed Forces) songs and medleys. Lots of well-known pop tunes, a whole section on ABBA and songs from musicals such as Six and Les Miserables.

The dancing is very impressive – kudos to the cast because that’s got to be really hard work in this heat! The costumes are plenty and are always fabulous. And then you have speciality act Duo Douell who amaze with acrobatic and dangerous feats (think chainsaws, knives and fire) and last but VERY not least, this month’s guest performer, the fabulous drag act Myra Dubois with her acerbic wit and ‘singing’ talent (IYKYK 🤣).

There will be 4 guest performers throughout the run, so take your pick from Myra Dubois, Phil Lowen (comedy impressionist), Martin Daniels (comedy magician and son of Paul Daniels), and K-Lo (comedy vocalist).Honestly, come and see the show.
